I assumed coding was something you needed a degree for.
I assumed the community was full of people that knew everything and would judge you on your work.
I assumed that I didn't have anything of value to add to the resources that already exist.
I assumed I couldn't create anything that someone would want to use.
I assumed that writing about anything would make me a target for comments and abuse.
I assumed that my lack of very good English would hold me back from writing my thoughts.
All these assumptions lead me down a path that stopped me from expressing myself and understanding that I to had a voice. I'm not saying it is 100% right all the time but for that 10% it might be right and that could help even just one person then it's all worth it.
I'm writing this so that others can understand that assumption doesn't help.
Go for it.
It might not be for you. But at least you tried. Whatever it is. Swimming, flying, coding no matter what don't assume all negatives. Presume positives and give yourself a try. You might just surprise yourself.
If you have any doubts, I'm no expert but I have ears or well eyes to read your doubts and I can try to give some calming/ positive feedback to you.
Reach out and let's talk.
